Whitening a Traumatized Tooth - Haslet, TX

Procedure Details

A mid 30's male with a front tooth which had turned brown and gray due to trauma wanted to whiten and brighten his smile prior to his wedding. Internal and external whitening were performed to color correct the traumatized tooth as well as brighten his overall smile.

Color Correcting

There are many ways to color correct a darkened tooth.  In order to achieve the results you want it is important to identify the cause of the stain, whether that is trauma, external chemicals, overexposure to fluoride, or premature antibiotic exposure.  Once the cause is identified, the kind of whitening performed, the strength of the whitening agent, as well as the length of exposure to the whitening agent should be tailored to the case.  When it comes to whitening there is no "one size fits all" solution.  Dr. William Shattuck and his staff at Radiant Dental Care in Haslet know this and are experienced in getting their patients the results they want!
